Supplements and Laboratory Tests
Supplements and laboratory tests may be recommended during a nutritional therapy consultation.
Supplements
In addition to dietary and lifestyle changes, supplements may be recommended as there is a growing body of scientific evidence demonstrating their therapeutic benefits. Supplements come in many different forms and may consist of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, enzymes, probiotics and various others. There is a wide range of supplements available on the market. However, they vary in terms of quality, potency, bioavailability and cost. I take all these factors into account when selecting supplements and recommending them to you.
Laboratory tests
Laboratory tests can be useful to assess your nutritional status and to identify any underlying issues. The results can help to adjust your nutritional therapy programme, which could lead to more effective results. Some tests may be available through your GP, others through private laboratories. Any relevant tests will be discussed during your consultation.
